Our educator, Michael Wilcox, went to Texas this year to witness the recent Solar Eclipse that passed over the United States.  It was such a moving experience, he immediately called our Fun For Less Tours owners. Michael shared his solar eclipse experience and told them that in 2027 the longest total Solar Eclipse in this century is going to take place AND he wanted to be there. A total eclipse this long will not take place for another 84 years. He was so excited about being there to witness the 2027 event, he convinced our owners that they needed to come with him AND that they should put together a tour that would allow others to witness the 2027 Solar Eclipse.

Because of Michael’s excitement, we are working on arranging two Luxury River Cruises that would coincide with 2027’s Total Eclipse. 2027 is so far into the future, we are not looking for a total commitment. We don’t even want to take deposits at this time. We just want to know who might be interested in going on a cruise with Michael in 2027 that will be in the perfect location to witness the longest total eclipse in this century. You can reserve now, pay NO deposit and quit at any time. If you believe there is a good chance you would like to do one of our two cruises in 2027 that will include the Longest Total Eclipse in this Century – then it is imparative you reserve one of our two cruises. In a way, your reservation is more of a wait list, giving you the first opportunity. In the beginning of 2026, we will contact those that have signed up according to the date they made the reservation. They and those traveling with them, will be given the first opportunity to lock in this special Solar Eclipse Cruise. There will be no obligation to continue at that time. We do expect there will be more reservations than we will have cabins for on each of our two river cruises. We will start with those that were first to reserve and move down the list until all of our cabins are gone. The BEST Place to Experience a Total Eclipse
In 2027 the longest duration of a full Solar Eclipse in this century, will take place over Luxor, Egypt.  Luxor is also the best place on earth to witness a total eclipse of the sun. The greatest danger to missing a Solar Eclipse experience – is cloud cover! In 2024 there was a shorter duration total solar eclipse path that passed through the U.S. The vast majority on that path, missed seeing the total eclipse because of cloud cover. Luxor is in the middle of huge desert that rarely experiences rain or even any clouds. At this time of year in Luxor, it is extremely rare to have any clouds at all and if there were any it would likely be here and there that should not hinder this event.

After Michael’s call, we immediately looked to make arrangements in Luxor, that would accommodate our two groups. We were almost too late! Others had seen into the future and knew 2027 Solar Eclipse would be special. All of the quality hotels in Luxor for groups were already sold out and all of the quality ships on the Nile already had many reservation requests. The good news for you, our owners have powerful friends in Egypt. After a few phone calls, we were able to arrange for a 5-Star Luxury cruise ship on the Nile that will be in Luxor Egypt on August 2, 2027. Our airconditioned Nile cruise ship will allow us a private area on top of the ship for our group to witness this special event. We won’t be stuck on the hot streets in front of a hotel or on the sands of a hot desert to witness the eclipse.

Luxor and Egypt are too hot in August to do a full tour of Egypt. We plan to fly into Egypt, spend a few days witnessing the BEST Solar Eclipse of this century and then head the short distance to Europe for a luxury river cruise.
