Jeremy is a former professional baseball pitcher who was born and raised in Oregon. He attended Brigham Young University (BYU) in 1997, where he played his freshman college baseball season before serving a two-year church mission and transferring to Stanford University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s in Sociology. He also has extensive experience traveling the world and leading groups for Fun For Less Tours.

- Draft & Debut: Drafted in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2002 MLB Draft by the Cleveland Indians out of Stanford University; made his MLB debut on August 28, 2004.
- MLB Teams: Pitched for the Cleveland Indians, Baltimore Orioles, Colorado Rockies, Kansas City Royals, and Washington Nationals.
- World Series: Started games for the Kansas City Royals during the 2014 World Series.
- Career Stats: Finished his career with a 91-109 record, a 4.42 ERA, and 1,046 strikeouts over 13 seasons.
Personal Life & Global Ambassador
- Faith & Missions: A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he delayed his college career to serve a two-year mission in Spain (1998–2000). He and his wife, Jenny, later served as mission leaders for the Texas Houston South Mission from 2018 to 2021.
- International Ambassador: Acts as an international ambassador for Major League Baseball, traveling globally (including China, Kenya, and Europe) to run youth clinics and grow the game.
