Iceland, Greenland & the Fjords of Norway
28 day cruise/tour - August 8, 2027Information
Rare Opportunity
Finding the perfect cruise that would include the stops we need in Iceland and Greenland is a major challenge. In 2027, Holland America came through with the perfect cruise. What was needed to make this an experience of a lifetime was to add a pre-tour to the best fjords in Norway. After you visit the stunning fjords of Norway, you will sail out of Amsterdam to Iceland and Greenland before continuing on to Newfoundland and Nova Scotia on your way to Boston in the U.S.. Our Iceland, Greenland, and the Fjords of Norway cruise and tour is so special, you need to move it near the top of your bucket list!
The BEST of Norway Tour and Cruise
Our three nights exploring Norway’s stunning Fjords and its many waterfalls could become the biggest highlight days you will ever experience on this earth. From Bergen, known as the “Heart of the Norwegian Fjords,” you will do the following:
- Travel twice on the Bergen Railway – Europe’s most spectacular railway and also the highest railway in Europe.
- Travel on the famous Flam Railway. Considered by many to be the steepest and most beautiful train ride in the world.
- Take a bus tour through the Naeroydalen Valley past majestic waterfalls with cliffs reaching as high as 6,000 feet.
- Take a ship through the Aurlandsfjord and the Nærfjord – a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Drive Along the Hardanger Fjord.
- Visit the village of Oystese.
- Stop at the Steinsdalasfossen Waterfalls.
- Tour of Bergen.
Highlight after Highlight after Highlight!
Amsterdam and Giethoorn
We board the ship in Amsterdam. Once the ship leaves port, there really is no place to catch the ship again for many days. We want to arrive into Amsterdam early, making sure there are no delayed or cancelled planes that could hurt our ability to get there in time to catch the ship. We have made good use of our time in Amsterdam. We have included a tour of Amsterdam, a canal ride, Anne Frank’s home (depending on availability), and a visit to Zaanse Schans Park, filled with ancient windmills. We have also included a wonderful day trip to Giethoorn that will include a beautiful canal ride and walking tour.
