Our normal tour that involves Israel, Egypt and Jordan has to leave a lot out of Egypt in order to also include Israel and Jordan. The huge advantage to our Ultimate Egypt Tour is you can have it all and still get all of Israel and Jordan at a later date. With Israel in a war, none of us want to travel to Israel and Jordan right now. There has to be some kind of peace before we are comfortable in offering tours to Israel again. A cease fire doesn’t work. No one knows if that will lead to a lasting peace agreement or back to the war which happened after the last cease fire. We will return, but not until we have confidence that it is safe to travel to Israel and Jordan again.

Egypt is open and this is the perfect time to travel to Egypt, We have put together a fantastic Ultimate Egypt only tour that includes so much more than we can ever offer on our normal Israel, Egypt and Jordan Tours. You will not only get an Ultimate Egypt experience with Michael next year, you will also be able to do Israel and Jordan with Michael when this war is over. Note: When Israel opens up again, in addition to offering Michael’s Israel, Jordan Tour with the extra day, we will again be offering our normal Israel Egypt and Jordan Tour – that will again leave out much of Egypt.

  • The Red Sea Experience: We are staying in a fantastic 5-Star Luxury Red Sea Beach Resort. You will have time to swim in the Red Sea, the resort’s wonderful swimming pools and go snorkeling in the Red Sea.
  • Additional touring in Cairo: With the additional time we have in Cairo we will visit the oldest pyramid in Egypt – the Step Pyramid. We also have time to take a felucca boat ride on the Nile. We will also be visiting Moez Street – according to the U.N. Moez street is a walking street, containing “the greatest concentration of medieval architectural treasures in the Islamic world”.
  • Alexandria: We finally have time to include Alexandria and its underground Catacombs, the Qaitbay Citadel, the Alexandria Library and the Roman Theater.

Day by Day Itinerary (Itinerary is subject to change):

Day 1: April 1: Fly to Cairo, Egypt
Today everyone will fly from their home to Cairo, Egypt.

Day 2: April 2: Cairo
We arrive into Cairo late this evening.  After clearing customs in Cairo, Egypt we will transfer to our hotel.  (Transfers are included if you booked our group airfare or your flight arrives on or before and departs on or after our group flights.)

Day 3: April 3: Cairo
We will have a late morning departure today since we had such a late arrival into Cairo.  We will tour the Cairo Museum, which houses the greatest collection of Egyptian artifacts anywhere in the world, including King Tut’s Treasures.  We will then transfer back to our hotel to overnight.

Day 4: April 4:  Cairo
Today we will continue touring Cairo. We will visit the Pyramids, which were built over four thousand years ago and are the only remaining Wonder of the Ancient World. We will then see the Sphinx.  After our tour, we will transfer back to our hotel.

Day 5: April 5: Alexandria
This morning we will drive approximately 3 hours to Alexandria, which is located on the Mediterranean Sea. We plan to visit the Qaitbay Citadel before checking into our hotel.

Day 6: April 6: Alexandria
Today we will have a full-day tour of Alexandria. We plan to visit the catacombs, these catacombs make up the largest-known Roman burial site in Egypt and one of the last major works of construction dedicated to the religion of ancient Egypt. We will also see the site where the Library of Alexandria once stood. Later we will return to the hotel.

Day 7: April 7: Alexandria- Abu Simbel – Aswan
This morning we will fly to the UNESCO World Heritage site, Abu Simbel. Where we will see the impressive Abu Simbel temples, which consist of the Great Temple, dedicated to Ramesses II, and the Small Temple, dedicated to his wife Queen Nefertari. Then we will fly to Aswan. Upon arrival, we will transfer to our Nile River cruise ship.

Day 8: April 8: Aswan – Kom Ombo – Edfu – Luxor
This morning we will take a boat ride to the Philae Islands with its temple dedicated to Isis. Then we will sail on the Nile to the Kom Ombo and Edfu Temples.

Day 9: April 9: Luxor
Luxor is more impressive than Cairo and the Pyramids! You will marvel at its sheer grandeur, its monumental architecture, and its excellent state of preservation. This morning we will visit the Valley of the Kings, the site of the tombs of the Pharaohs. In the afternoon we will visit the best ruins in Egypt –Karnack! We will also visit Luxor Temple before returning to your cruise ship.

Day 10: April 10: Luxor – Hurghada
We will finish touring Luxor and then we will drive to Hurghada, which is on the Red Sea. We will be staying the next two nights at a beach resort on the Red Sea.

Day 11: April 11: Hurghada

Day 12: April 12: Fly to Cairo
This morning we will fly to Cairo. We plan to visit the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization before we check into our hotel.

Day 13: April 13: Cairo
We will finish visiting any sites we have missed in Cairo. We will have some free time at our hotel before we transfer back to the airport this evening around 11pm to catch our flight back to the US. Our groups flight is scheduled to depart at approximately  2am.  (Transfers are included if you booked our group airfare or your flight arrives on or before and departs on or after our group flights.)

Day 14: April 14: Fly to Cairo
Today we will return back to the US.
