Day 1: May 15: Fly from the US to Nairobi, Kenya.
Day 2: May 16: Nairobi, Kenya
We arrive late this evening into Nairobi. We will transfer to our hotel and overnight.
Day 3: May 17: Nairobi – Samburu National Park
We will have an early morning departure from our hotel in Nairobi and will head to your lodge in Samburu. Upon arrival we will have a late lunch. We will spend this afternoon in search of the elusive leopard, lion, elephants, gerunuk, grevy zebra, reticulated giraffe, oryx and many others. Samburu Game Reserve is situated in a semi arid area. We will enjoy dinner this evening and overnight stay at our local lodge. The drive from Nairobi to Samburu National Park is approximately 7 hours.
Day 4: May 18: Samburu National Park
After breakfast you will proceed for a game drive in the morning and also in the afternoon. You will have mid day to relax and enjoy this beautiful lodge and relax. After you return from the afternoon game drive you will have dinner and overnight at our lodge.
Day 5: May 19: Samburu National Park – Mountain Lodge
We will have a morning departure to the Mountain Lodge. Upon arrival to the Mountain Lodge we will have lunch and the afternoon is free to relax and enjoy the famous water hole where animals come to drink water during the day. We will enjoy dinner and overnight stay at our lodge. The drive from Samburu National Park to the Mountain Lodge is approximately 4 hours.

Day 6: May 20: Mountain Lodge – Lake Nakuru
We have an early morning departure for Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for a late lunch at your Lake Nakuru Lodge. We will have an afternoon game drive in the park and around this lake that is famous for it’s pink flamingoes and other birdlife. This area is also considered to be the first rhino sanctuary for both the black and white species. You should have a chance to see many species including reedbuck, bushbuck, warthog, leopard, baboon and giraffe. You will have dinner and overnight stay at our lodge. The drive from Mountain Lodge to Lake Nukuru is approximately 4 1/2 hour drive.
Day 7: May 21: Lake Nakuru National Park – Massai Mara Game Reserve
We will leave the lodge by 7am and will start our long drive through the famous Great Rift Valley and then via Narok town, you will travel to the Massai Mara Game Reserve. This is considered to be one of Kenya’s most precious wildlife sanctuaries. This is a big game country and long famed as one of Africa’s greatest concentrations of plains game animals. Game can be found here in staggering numbers, which in turn supports a tremendous predator population. We will be stopping at the Mara Sarova Lodge and take a break from the drive where we will have a late afternoon lunch and relax for an hour. After lunch we will start our game drive on our drive to the lodge where we will overnight. During your afternoon game drive you may have an opportunity to see herds of buffalo, lion, impala, giraffe, elephant, topi, warthog, ostrich, cheetah, hyena, and many other types of animals. You will have dinner and overnight at our lodge where we will be staying the next 3 nights. Today is a very long drive. The first part of the drive from Lake Nakuru to Sarova Mara Lodge is about 7 hours and another 2 hours from Sarova lodge to our lodge where we will be staying at.

Day 8 & 9: May 22 & 23: Massai Mara Game Reserve
Over the next 2 days we will have a morning and afternoon game drive each day. You will have time to rendezvous with the Mara residents. We will visit the Massai village, having a chance to see their mode of living and what kind of food they eat. Massai Mara is the northern-most extremity of the great Serengeti ecosystem. Here black rhinos browse among dense thorn bushes, and herds of giraffe and elephant roam the woodlands. Large numbers of hippos gather and swim in the Mara River. Boasting Kenya’s largest predator population, the reserve is renowned for its large lion prides. After our afternoon game drive each day we return to our lodge and have dinner and overnight.
Day 10: May 24: Massai Mara – Serengeti National Park
We depart very early for the Tanzania Border. It is a long drive so relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery on our journey.We will stop for lunch. After clearing through immigration and customs we will continue our drive to the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. Once we enter into the Serengeti National Park we will enjoy a game drive enroute to our lodge where we will overnight the next 2 nights. The drive from Massai Mara to the entrance of the Serengeti National Park is approximately a 9 hour drive. After we enter the park we will enjoy a game drive as we drive the last 1.5 hours to the lodge.

Day 11: May 25: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast we will enjoy a full day game drive in the plains of the Serengeti National Park. We will return back to our lodge and overnight.

Day 12: May 26: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater
We will have an early departure for Ngorongoro with a game drive enroute arriving in good time for a late lunch. You will have the afternoon at your leisure enjoying the magnificent view of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will have dinner and overnight at our lodge. The drive from Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater is approximately 7-8 hours.

Day 13: May 27: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast descend to the Crater floor for a 1/2 day gamedrive, lunch at a hippo pool picnic site and ascend to the rim. Dinner and overnight at our Lodge.
Day 14: May 28: Ngorongoro – Nairobi
We depart the lodge early and drive to the Namanga Border. After clearing with immigration and customs we will proceed on to Nairobi. This evening will be free time. Today is a very long day. The drive from Ngorongoro to Nairobi is approximately 12 hours.
Day 15: May 29: Nairobi
Late morning departure you will be picked up from your hotel and proceed for an excursion to the Karen Blixen Plantation (This is where the movie “Out of Africa” was filmed). We will also having a chance to feed Giraffes. After our tour is finished we will transfer back to the Nairobi airport for your late evening flight home.
Day 16: May 30: Arrive Home
This evening we arrive back to USA and home.
