5 Star Luxury with Kathmandu, Nepal & Mt. Everest 15 day tour - October 26, 2019

This is the year to put India at the top of your list!!!!!

Our special designed 5-star luxury tour visits the best places in India and Nepal. We have even included a flight from Kathmandu around Mt. Everest. We have picked the best time of year to tour India.  In the summer it is so hot it almost melts the cement.  The winter is often cool and foggy.   We have picked late October for our 2019 tour.  It is not only the best time of year weather-wise, it is also the time of the Pushkar Festival.

You will experience true 5-star Luxury!  The quality of hotels and the location of hotels can make or break your tour in India.  Travel and Leisure Magazine make a list of the top 100 hotels in the world. This last year’s list does not have any Sheraton hotels, Hyatt hotels or Hilton hotels. One of the chains that have hotels listed in the top 100 hotels is Taj.

Optional Bhutan Extension

This is the rare opportunity to visit Bhutan, a country that has hardly changed in hundreds of years. Bhutan is a small picturesque country located high in the Himalayas with a border to India and Tibet. It has been completely cut off for centuries with no roads in or out. The first road into Bhutan was not completed until the 1960’s. As far as we understand it is still the only road into Bhutan. Bhutan has very limited access from those in the outside world. It fiercely guards its ancient traditions and customs. Even the way they dress in everyday life dates back hundreds of years. It is against the law to go to school or work of any kind dressed in modern clothing styles. Bhutan “Land of the Thunder Dragon”, only began to open up to outsiders in the 1970’s. They strictly control the number of visitors by limiting the number of visas. Visitors must be part of an organized tour, to receive permission to tour the country, they do not allow individual travel.

The owners of Fun For Less Tours, with special permission, visited Bhutan a couple of years ago. They were so impressed they have been working ever since, on getting permission to bring our passengers to Bhutan. The King of Bhutan, a few years ago, gave its citizens the vote and opportunity to rule themselves. But to the people, the King and Queen are still the rulers. The owners of Fun For Less Tours happened to be in a hotel when the Queen walked by, on her way to lunch with some India delegates. Every Bhutan close to where the Queen was walking prostrated themselves completely flat on the floor with the hands out straight and the faces looking down, not willing to look upon their queen out of respect.

With only a very few tourists allowed each year, the cost of visiting Bhutan is not inexpensive. We have to buy a package that includes hotel, meals, guides, buses, entrance fees, the expensive visa and pay a Royalty fee (King fee). Hotels can make a big difference as there are only a few 5-star hotels in the country. Our package includes a 5-star luxury hotel. Bhutan also only allows its Royal Airline to fly into and out of the country, so there is no competition to lower prices. Is it rather expensive to add Bhutan to your India Tour – yes! Is it worth it – yes, Yes and YES! Don’t miss out on this opportunity! You are in the area and will likely never get another chance!!!
