This special tour will visit important sites in Australia and New Zealand, plus it even has a fantastic stop in Fiji.  In Australia, you will visit Sydney, Hobart & Brisbane also with an option to visit the Great Barrier Reef. In New Zealand you will visit Auckland, Dunedin, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, Picton and sail through the Misty Fjords and more.

  • Great Barrier Reef Pre-Tour is not included in our package: We give you the OPTION to purchase our Auckland, New Zealand and Great Barrier Reef Pre-Tour which includes: 1 additional night Auckland, 2 nights Great Barrier Reef (in deluxe hotels), full day cruise and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, Aboriginal Culture Village and round-trip airfare Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, all additional airfare including taxes and fees.  Price is $1,687.

Please call if originating from another city, it may vary from the examples above.
You may also purchase your own airfare. If someone does purchase their own airfare they will be responsible to purchase their flight from Sydney to Fiji on the same flight the group is on since this is not included with the price of the tour. This flight is part of the international airfare package.

Australia Regular Tour Group Itinerary:

Day 1: February 18:
Late afternoon flight from home to Los Angeles. Your flight will depart late this evening from Los Angeles to Sydney.

Day 2: February 19:
Lose a day as you pass through the International Date Line.

Day 3: February 20: Sydney – Brisbane, Australia
After our arrival into Sydney we will collect our bags and make our way over to the domestic terminal and catch a flight to Brisbane.  Depending on our arrival time into Brisbane we will start our tour of the area.  We will transfer to your deluxe hotel where we will overnight for the next 2 nights.

Day 4: February 21: Brisbane, Australia
Today we will do a city tour of Brisbane including a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where you will be able to get up close and friendly with kangaroos, koala bears, and other Australian wildlife.

Day 5: February 22: Brisbane – Sydney, Australia
Today we will fly back to Sydney. Upon arrival, we will start our tour of Sydney before going to our hotel where we will spend the next 2 nights.

Day 6: February 23: Sydney, Australia
We will will have a full day tour of Sydney which will include a city tour and a visit to the famous Opera House (including a tour of the interior).  Later we will transfer back to our hotel.

Day 7: February 24: Sydney, Australia
We will finish any missed sites in Sydney.  After our tour we will transfer to our Royal Caribbean Ovation of the seas cruise ship.

Day 8: February 25: Fun Day at Sea
Today is a relaxing day to explore this fantastic ship.

Day 9: February 26: Hobart (Tasmania), Australia
Today we will offer an optional excursion to visit Port Arthur Prison Colony.  Australia was not used by Europeans as a vacation destination, but as a place to keep their criminals.  Port Arthur was used as a prison from the 1830’s to the 1870’s.  This is depicted in the classic Hollywood film, “Quigley Down Under.”  More than 12,000 convicts passed through this penal colony.  The old buildings, manicured grounds and the breathtaking ocean scene create one of the most beautiful places in Australia.

Day 12: March 1: New Zealand Fjords
Today will be a day of sailing through the Fjords of New Zealand. You will enjoy the stunning beauty of Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound and Milford Sound where sheer cliffs cut through the heart of the Southern Alps. These are some of the most beautiful fjords in the world. Be sure to have your camera ready for unspoiled beauty, sheer peaks, waterfalls, and wildlife that make this a truly memorable day.

Day 13: March 2: Dunedin, New Zealand
The ship docks about 25 minutes out of Dunedin.  For those that purchased our optional shore excursion package, we will do a full day tour of Dunedin and the surrounding area.  We enjoy a “fairy tale drive” through captivating scenery while making stops along the way. Later we visit the territory of a rare Royal Albatross Colony. We may even see the largest seabird in the world take flight or come in for a landing. These birds are amazing and one of our favorites to observe. We end the day with a city tour before returning to our ship.

Day 14: March 3: Christchurch, New Zealand
For those who purchased our optional shore excursion package will drive 1.5 hrs to Akaroa.  Akaroa is home to one of the world’s rarest and smallest dolphins, the Hector’s Dolphin.  These endangered dolphins are only found in this small corner of the world.  You may have an opportunity to see and enjoy a variety of sea and birdlife throughout the cruise including the rare Hector’s Dolphin, blue penguin, fur seals and more.  Remember that there is no guarantee to see wildlife since they are wild animals.  At the conclusion of your cruise you will drive back to Christchurch for some free time.

Day 15: March 4: Picton, New Zealand
For those who purchased our optional shore excursion package will take a 2-3 hour scenic tour including the Aviation Museum. The remainder of the day will be leisure time to enjoy the town.

Day 16: March 5: Wellington, New Zealand
For those who purchased our optional shore excursion package will enjoy a tour around the “Wonderful, Windy Wellington”.  Todays tour is approximately 4-5 hours long.  It is located on Cooks Strait (the strait that separates the north and south islands) which makes it susceptible to unpredictable weather and the strong winds that funnel through the strait.  This beautiful city was originally settled by a London based company in the 1840s.  There is still a Victorian feel to parts of the city.  While here we visit the Te Papa Museum and the Mt. Victoria Tramway among other interesting sites.

Day 17: March 6: Fun Day at Sea
Today is another relaxing day to explore this fantastic ship.

Day 18: March 7: Tauranga, New Zealand
The ship docks about 1 ½ hour from Rotorua.  For those who purchased our optional shore excursion package, we are headed to Rotorua.  Our tour includes a visit to the Agradome with a show and a sheep shearing demonstration along with a tour of a working farm.

Day 19: March 8: Auckland, New Zealand
Unfortunately, we must say goodbye to our beautiful ship. After we disembark we will do a small city tour on our way to the Auckland airport.  We will then fly from Auckland to Fiji.  Upon arrival into Fiji we will transfer about 1 hour to our hotel where we will spend the next 3 nights. (The flight from Auckland to Fiji is included in the group airfare.  If you did not purchase the group airfare you must still purchase this internal flight.  It is NOT include in the price of the tour.)

Day 20: March 9: Fiji
Enjoy your fantastic day enjoying your 5-star luxury beach resort.

Day 21: March 10: Fiji

Day 22: March 11: Fiji – Home
Enjoy today to the fullest!  Sadly today is the last day to pretend that the real world doesn’t exist.  So have fun, and make the most of this beautiful resort.  You will be required to check out of your hotel room by noon.  We then enjoy a half-day tour of Nadi before we head to the airport for our late evening flight.  We cross the International Date Line on the way home…so you get to enjoy March 11th twice!  Have a great trip.

Australia with Auckland & Great Barrier Reef Option Group Itinerary:

Day 1: February 16:
Late afternoon flight from home to Los Angeles. Your flight will depart late this evening from Los Angeles to Sydney.

Day 2: February 17:
Lose a day as you pass through the International Date Line.

Day 3: February 18: Sydney, Australia
Upon arrival into Sydney we will collect our bags and make our way to our buses.  We will start our tour of Sydney before transferring to our hotel where we will spend the next 2 nights.

Day 4: February 19: Sydney, Australia
We will will have a full day tour of Sydney which will include a city tour and a visit to the famous Opera House (including a tour of the interior).  Later we will transfer back to our hotel.

Day 5: February 20: Sydney – Cairns, Australia
Today we will will transfer in the morning back to the Sydney airport where we will fly to Cairns.  Upon arrival we will transfer to our hotel where we will spend the next 2 nights.

Day 6: February 21: Cairns, Australia
Today will be a full day on the Great Barrier Reef.  We take a boat to the Outer Barrier Reef for unlimited snorkeling (equipment and instruction included) and swimming.  At the end of the day, we return to the hotel.

Day 7: February 22: Cairns – Brisbane, Australia
Today we will do a tour of Cairns which will include a visit to an Aborigine Village.  There you will enjoy a show and even throw a boomerang if you want.  We take a late afternoon flight from Cairns to Brisbane.  Upon arrival in Brisbane, we will transfer to our hotel for the next 2 nights.

Day 8: February 23: Brisbane, Australia

Day 22: March 9: Auckland, New Zealand
We will have a free morning before we transfer to the Auckland airport.  We will then fly from Auckland to Fiji.  Upon arrival into Fiji we will transfer about 1 hour to our hotel where we will spend the next 3 nights. (The flight from Auckland to Fiji is included in the group airfare.  If you did not purchase the group airfare you must still purchase this internal flight.  It is NOT include in the price of the tour.)

Day 23: March 10: Fiji
