This special tour will visit important sites in Australia and New Zealand, plus it even has a fantastic stop in Fiji.  In Australia, you will visit Sydney & Brisbane also with an option to visit the Great Barrier Reef. In New Zealand you will visit Auckland, Dunedin, Tauranga, Wellington, Bay of Islands, Napier and sail through the Misty Fjords and more.

This is your chance to see a koala, feed a kangaroo, be taught by Aborigines to throw a boomerang, sail through the New Zealand Fjords, snorkel on the Great Barrier Reef, and the list goes on. This fantastic tour is filled with so many fun-filled experiences; there is no room to mention them all.

  • Great Barrier Reef Extension is not included in our package: We give you the OPTION to purchase our Auckland, New Zealand and Great Barrier Reef Extension which includes: 1 additional night Auckland, 2 nights Great Barrier Reef (in deluxe hotels), full day cruise and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef, Aboriginal Culture Village and round-trip airfare Sydney and the Great Barrier Reef, all additional airfare including taxes and fees.  Price is $1,687.
  • Airfare is not included in our package: We give you the OPTION to purchase our group airfare.

You may also purchase your own airfare. If someone does purchase their own airfare they will be responsible to purchase their flight from Sydney to Fiji on the same flight the group is on since this is not included with the price of the tour. This flight is part of the international airfare package.

Australia Regular Tour Group Itinerary:

Day 1: February 2:
Late afternoon flight from home to Los Angeles. Your flight will depart late this evening from Los Angeles to Auckland.

Day 2: February 3:
Lose a day as you pass through the International Date Line.

Day 3: February 4: Auckland, New Zealand
Today we will do a 1/2 day tour visiting the sites around Auckland.  After our tour, we will transfer to your deluxe hotel where we will overnight.

Day 4: February 5: Bay of Islands, New Zealand
This morning we will drive approximately 3.5 hours to the Bay of Islands. For those who purchased our shore excursion package, we will have the chance to relax as we cruise past rocky promontories and secluded beaches on our way to Hole-in-The-Rock, a 240 ft hole in the cliff that has slowly been eroded by wind and waves.  Along the way, you may even have the chance to see dolphins playing in the waves.  We will board the ship today this afternoon.

Day 5: February 6: Tauranga, New Zealand
The ship docks about 1 ½ hour from Rotorua.  For those who purchased our optional shore excursion package, we are headed to Rotorua.  Our tour includes a visit to the Agradome with a show and a sheep shearing demonstration along with a tour of a working farm.

Day 6: February 7: Napier, New Zealand
For those who purchased our shore excursion package, we will head outside of the town of Napier as we follow the coastline through the beautiful farmlands to visit the village of Havelock North. Here we have the opportunity to taste a wide variety of honeys made by bees from a range of native flora including Manuka Honey, which is world famous for its therapeutic properties. We will also visit Te Mata Peak, which towers nearly 1400 feet above the Heretaunga Plain and offers 360-degree views across Hawke’s Bay and out into the Pacific Ocean, to enjoy the view.  Later this afternoon we drive through Hastings to enjoy it Spanish Mission and Art Deco architecture before heading back towards Napier and the cruise ship.

Day 7: February 8: Wellington, New Zealand
For those who purchased our optional shore excursion package will enjoy a tour around the “Wonderful, Windy Wellington”.  It is located on Cooks Strait (the strait that separates the north and south islands) which makes it susceptible to unpredictable weather and the strong winds that funnel through the strait.  This beautiful city was originally settled by a London based company in the 1840s.  There is still a Victorian feel to parts of the city.  While here we visit the Te Papa Museum and the Mt. Victoria Tramway among other interesting sites.

Day 8: February 9: Dunedin
The ship docks about 25 minutes out of Dunedin.  For those that purchased our optional shore excursion package, we will do a full day tour of Dunedin and the surrounding area.  We enjoy a “fairy tale drive” through captivating scenery while making stops along the way. Later we visit the territory of a rare Royal Albatross Colony. We may even see the largest seabird in the world take flight or come in for a landing. These birds are amazing and one of our favorites to observe. We end the day with a city tour before returning to our ship.

Day 9: February 10: New Zealand Fjords
Today will be a day of sailing through the Fjords of New Zealand. You will enjoy the stunning beauty of Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound and Milford Sound where sheer cliffs cut through the heart of the Southern Alps. These are some of the most beautiful fjords in the world. Be sure to have your camera ready for unspoiled beauty, sheer peaks, waterfalls, and wildlife that make this a truly memorable day.

Day 10: February 11: Fun Day at Sea
Today is a relaxing day to explore this fantastic ship.

Day 12: February 13: Sydney, Australia
Unfortunately, we must say goodbye to our beautiful ship. After we disembark we will do a tour of the Sydney area.  We will have a city tour including a visit to the famous Opera House (including a tour of the interior).  Later this afternoon we will fly to Brisbane. Upon arrival, we will transfer to our hotel.

Day 13: February 14: Brisbane, Australia
Today we will do a city tour of Brisbane including a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary where you will be able to get up close and friendly with kangaroos, koala bears, and other Australian wildlife.

Day 14: February 15: Sydney, Australia
Today we will fly back to Sydney. Upon arrival, we will finish touring Sydney before going to our hotel.

Day 15: February 16: Sydney, Australia
Today we will transfer to the Sydney Airport where we will fly to Fiji.  (This flight is NOT included in the tour price. If you have done your own airfare you will be required to purchase this flight on the same flight the group is on.)  Upon arrival into Fiji, we will transfer a little over an hour drive.  We spend the next 3 nights at your beautiful resort.

Day 16: February 17: Fiji

Day 18: February 19: Fiji – Home
Enjoy today to the fullest!  Sadly today is the last day to pretend that the real world doesn’t exist.  So have fun, and make the most of this beautiful resort.  You will be required to check out of your hotel room by noon.  We then enjoy a half-day tour of Nadi before we head to the airport for our late evening flight.  We cross the International Date Line on the way home…so you get to enjoy February 19th twice!  Have a great trip.

Australia with Auckland & Great Barrier Reef Option Group Itinerary:

Day 1: February 1:
Late afternoon flight from home to Los Angeles. Your flight will depart late this evening from Los Angeles to Auckland.

Day 2: February 2:
Lose a day as you pass through the International Date Line.

Day 3: February 3: Auckland, New Zealand
The flight will arrive in Auckland early afternoon today. Today we will do a 1/2 day tour visiting the sites around Auckland.  After our tour, we will transfer to your deluxe hotel where we will overnight.

Day 4: February 4: Auckland, New Zealand
For those who on the Great Barrier Reef option today we will travel outside of Auckland to visit the famous Waitomo Caves.  We will also have a stop for a short photo stop to see the LDS Tempe outside of Auckland.

Day 5: February 5: Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Today will be a full day on the Great Barrier Reef.  We take a boat to the Outer Barrier Reef for unlimited snorkeling (equipment and instruction included) and swimming.  At the end of the day, we return to the hotel.

Day 15: February 15: Cairns, Australia
Today we will do a tour of Cairns which will include a visit to an Aborigine Village.  There you will enjoy a show and even throw a boomerang if you want.  We take a late afternoon flight from Cairns to Brisbane.  Upon arrival in Brisbane, we will transfer to our hotel for the next 2 nights.

Day 16: February 16: Brisbane, Australia
