2021 Christmas MarketsWorld’s BEST Christmas Markets Cruise 15 day cruise/tour - November 27, 2021
World’s BEST Christmas Markets Cruise
Boy, do we have a treat for you. We have worked out a 2021 special Christmas Markets Cruise with AmaWaterways. Between the cruise and our creative land itinerary, we are bringing you many of the BEST Christmas Markets in Europe. Christmas Markets Cruises are so popular, they don’t want to sell charters. When we charter a ship, we have huge discounts that we can pass on to our passengers. The only reason we were able to get the charters in 2019, that completely sold out, was because we have chartered over 50 AmaWaterways ships. Because of our huge volume, they made an exception allowing us special pricing for their Christmas Markets Cruises. We now have another Christmas Markets Cruise that we can sell for 2021 AND it has a fantastic itinerary.
The thousands of towns and villages throughout Europe create stunning light displays along with wonderful Christmas Markets in their old town squares. The tradition of Christmas Markets in the town squares have been going on in Europe for hundreds of years. The idea of traditional Christmas Markets has even spread to other areas of the world. We have had many requests from our passengers over the years to put together a Christmas Markets tour in Europe. Our 2019 Christmas Markets Cruise was loved by those that went. Around 75% of the passengers wanted to be put on a waitlist to be the first to know about the new trip, giving them the first opportunity to sign up for our 2021 Christmas Markets Tour. The owners of Fun For Less Tours went with one of our 2019 groups. For 2021, they loved the Christmas Markets so much, they have chosen to return with our 2021 Christmas Markets Group. Our Rhine River Christmas Markets cruises is on a 5-star luxury cruise ship sailing through the most popular and best part of the Rhine. You will experience UNESCO World Heritage Sites, medieval walled cities, cobblestone villages that are hundreds of years old, and best of all staggeringly beautiful Christmas lights along with the BEST of the BEST in Christmas Markets.
We have reviewed many top 10 or top 20 lists of the BEST Christmas Markets. Our unique Christmas Markets Tour and Cruise includes the following that have been found in many of the “Best Christmas Lists”: Munich, German; Innsbruck, Austria; Zurich and Basel, Switzerland; Strasbourg, France, Cologne, Germany; Amsterdam, Netherlands; Bruges and Brussels, Belgium and a huge highlight – The Valkenburg Caves Christmas Markets in the Netherlands. When you consider there are thousands of Christmas Markets, to make anyone’s top 20 list of the BEST Christmas Markets, (which all of the above did), they have to be amazing and all of the markets listed above are just that – THEY ARE AMAZING!
Some of our other fantastic stops may not have made the top 20 lists, but have made it high on our list of favorites including: The small medieval walled village of Riquewihr, France; The ancient and medieval city of Rudesheim, Germany and Heidelberg Castle, Germany. If there is one feeling you can describe with the visiting of all the Christmas Markets, it is happiness. Yes, the shopping is fun, the sights are stunning and the food is fantastic – but above all, it is the enjoyment and feeling of Christmas that permeates the whole trip. I guess that is why almost everyone expressed an interest in returning!

Important note regarding the itinerary: The name of our Tour and Cruise – The “Best” Christmas Markets, says it all. In every area, we visit we will spend a little time touring to get a feel for each city, but our main purpose is to experience the phenomenal Christmas Markets that are open for just over a month beginning the end of November. For example, if a city has 3 famous Christmas Markets, we will try to visit all three. Though we should have plenty of time to tour the best sites each city has to offer, much of our touring will not be fully known until after we have assessed the 2021 Christmas Markets in each city. The actual touring schedule, including which Christmas Markets we will visit each day will not be fully known until close to the time of departure in 2021. What we can tell you is, you will get the best of both- touring and Christmas Markets, when you travel with us. The cities and villages marked in red are found on many “Top Christmas Markets” lists.
