DAY BY DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Friday March 26: Fly
Evening flight to San Francisco in time to catch the 1:30am flight to Singapore and then continuing on to Chiang Mai.
Day 2: March 27: Fly
1:30am flight from San Francisco to Singapore and then continuing on to Chiang Mai.
Day 3: March 28: Chiang Mai
Afternoon arrival into Chiang Mai. We will do a city tour on our way to our Deluxe Hotel.
Day 4: March 29: Chiang Mai
This will be one of your highlight days on your tour. The day will be spent driving through the lush forests of upper Thailand and a special visit to the Long Neck Tribe featured in National Geographic. The women in the tribe use metal rings to stretch their necks. These metal rings often weigh over 20 pounds. You will also enjoy riding an elephant across streams and through the Jungle and then raft down a beautiful mountain stream.
Day 5: March 30: Chiang Mai
Today you will visit the Golden Temples on the hill overlooking Chiang Mai. We will also visit a refuge for tigers that have been found as babies in the wild. They have been taken here as babies after the mother was killed and their lives were saved. For those that want, you will have a chance to feed a baby tiger or pet a tiger. We will also have a chance to do some shopping today before returning to our hotel.
Day 6: March 31: Bangkok
This morning early we will fly from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. Our tour today will include the beautiful golden temples and palaces of the King of Siam or King of Thailand. This is truly one of the most beautiful complexes in the world. We will also visit the Giant Buda. At the end of the day we will travel to our luxury hotel to overnight.
Day 7: April 1: Bangkok – Siam Reap – Angkor Wat
This morning's tour will take us on a boat ride through the floating Market. We will also enjoy a tour of Bangkok with a little free time to explore. Late this afternoon we will fly from Bangkok to Siem Reap (Angkor Wat) Cambodia. Upon arrival we will transfer to our Luxury Hotel.
Day 8: April 2: Angkor Wat
Today will be spent visiting the many temples and ruins that are around Angkor Wat, including the jungle ruins used in the filming of Tomb Raiders. You will go from one fantastic set of ruins to another, each time being awed at their uniqueness and beauty. We will end our day with the breathtaking visit to Angkor Wat. Built almost 1,000 years ago, this fantastic structure and area was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992. We will be there to tour and witness the sunset that can turn the whole building a different color, before returning to your luxury hotel.
Day 9: April 3: Angkor Wat
We will take a boat ride on the Tonle Sap Lake. This huge lake swells to 7 times its normal size during the monsoons of July and August. We will visit floating fishing villages were people live year round on floating homes that have to be moved as the lake swells and recedes. We will finish the day visiting other ruins around Angkor Wat before returning to your luxury hotel.
Day 10: April 4: Fly Home OR Bali Extension
This morning the group will fly back to the US or fly to Singapore, change planes and fly to Bali with the optional Bali Extension Group. We highly recommend this option as you are already in this part of the world – now is the time to visit the most beautiful island in the world and save $500 per couple.
