MACHU PICCHU DAY BY DAY ITINERARY

Day 1: October 25: Fly
Fly from your home city to Los Angeles for our 2pm flight to Santiago, overnight Santiago, Chile.

Day 2: October 26: Santiago, Chile
Step back in time as we retrace the history of Santiago and spend a full day visiting this wonderful city. Your tour will include La Moneda Palace, the Pre-Columbian Museum, Plaza de Armas, Cathedral Metropolitana and a lot more.

Day 3: October 27: Valparaiso & Vina del Mar
Today we will visit the historic port of Valparaiso and then continue along the coast line to Vina Del Mar, a seaside resort with palm tree-lined avenues and lovely villas, truly the “Pearl of the Pacific”. We will then return to Santiago and overnight.

Day 4: October 28: Montevideo, Uruguay
This morning we will fly to Montevideo, Uruguay. After arrival we will spend the rest of the day touring Montevideo’s water front, Legislative Palace, parks and a trip to Mentevideo Hill for a spectacular view. Overnight Montevideo.

Day 5: October 29: Buenos Aires
After finishing our tour of Mentevideo, will take the 3 hour ferry ride to Buenos Aires and check into our hotel.

Day 6: October 30: Buenos Aires
Site seeing of this grand capital will show off it’s European heritage and South American flair. Our full day tour will visit all of the important sites including , Plaza de Mayo, Casa Rosada, the Central Cathedral, Avenida de Lulio (one of the widest boulevards in the world), The famous Recoleta Cemetery and more. Tonight you may take in a Tango Show. Overnight Buenos Aires.

Day 7: October 31: Buenos Aires
This morning we will head into the countryside where we will visit a working farm and have a Gaucho Cowboy show. This afternoon will be free to explore and enjoy the walking streets of Buenos Aires. Overnight Buenos Aires.

Day 8: November 1: Iguazu Falls, Argentina
This morning we will fly to one of the most beautiful and impressive waterfalls in the world – Iguazu Falls. We will spend the day visiting the Argentine side of the falls including a jet boat ride right up to the falls. Later we will cross into Brazil and spend the night on the Brazil side of the falls.

Day 9: November 2: Iguazu Falls, Brazil
We will spend the day visiting the Brazil side of the falls along with the massive dam. We will overnight again on the Brazil side of the falls.

Day 10: November 3: Rio de Janeiro
This morning we will fly from Iguazu to Rio. This afternoon we will begin our tour that will include the giant statue of Christ on Corcovado Mountian. We will stay in a five star beach resort.

Day 11: November 4: Rio de Janeiro
This mornings tour will take you to the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, two of the worlds most famous beaches. We will also take a cable car ride up Sugar loaf Mountain and a city tour of Rio.

Day 12: November 5: Rio de Janeiro
Today will be a free day to enjoy your 5 star beach resort!

Day 13: November 6: Sao Paulo
This morning early we will either fly to Sao Paulo or drive (giving us a chance to see the countryside). We will arrive into Sao Paulo around 11am – we will spend the rest of the day visiting Sao Paulo before flying this evening around 9pm to the Amazon River.

Day 14: November 7: Amazon River:
We will travel deeper into the Amazon this morning. We will spend the day sailing on the Amazon, fishing for Piranha and hiking in the jungles. We will overnight in the only 5 star lodges on the Amazon. It even has a fantastic swimming pool.

Day 15: November 8: Amazon River
Today we will visit a local Amazon tribe, have a show and again spend time sailing on the Amazon. We will return to the airport this evening and fly to Lima, Peru.

Day 16: November 9: Lima
Full Day tour of Lima – this evening we will fly from Lima to LAX.

Day 17: November 10: LAX & Home

This morning you will arrive into Los Angeles and continue on to your homes.



6 DAY MACHU PICCHU EXTENSION

Day 1: November 09: Lima
Finish touring with the group. The group will fly back to Los Angeles, you will overnight in Lima.

Day 2: November 10: Lima - Cuzco
After getting in late we will have a late start, departing around 10:30am for the airport for our noon flight to Cusco – This afternoon we will do a ½ day tour of Cusco and its ancient ruins and church, before checking into our 5 star Luxury Hotel.

Day 3: November 11: Cuzco – Machu Picchu
This Morning we will transfer to the railway station for the early morning departure by Vistadome Train to Aguas Calentes and then a bus ride up to the spectacular Machu Picchu ruins. This fabulous city has houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square, all connected by narrow roads and steps and is surrounded by terraces cut in to the mountain side which were used for agriculture. We will then return by train to Cuzco and your 5 star hotel.

Day 4: November 12: Urubamba Valley – Secred Valley - Cuzco
Full-day excursion to the Urubamba - the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit the village of Pisac, founded during the colonial times and set at the foot of a hill crowned by remains of an Inca city, where we will spend time exploring. We will also visit Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town which was not overthrown by the conquistadores, and explore the ruins which tower above it. This evening we will return to Cuzco and your 5 star hotel.

Day 5: November 13: Cuzco – Lake Titicacca
Today we will visit the many ruins around the Cusco area including the Sacsayhuaman Fortress overlooking the city of Cuzco, a pre Inca architectural masterpiece. We will also visit a few other ruins before getting to the airport in Lima for our 3pm flight to Lake Titicacca.

Day 6: November 14: Lake Titicacca – Lima & flight home
Early transfer to the port for your boat ride on Lake Titicaca. We will first visit the Uros and their floating islands. Made entirely of reeds and inhabited by the Aymara Uros people, these people live in huts built on floating platforms of reeds, about 3 feet thick. We will walk on the floating islands reeds and take a boat ride on boats that are entirely made from reeds. We will continue with our boat ride into the afternoon. Around 5pm we will fly back to Lima to catch our late night flight back to Los Angeles and home.

Day 7: November 15: Los Angeles - Home
This morning early you will arrive into Los Angeles and continue with your flight home.
