You will also visit Linderhof Palace and Neuschwanstein Castle built by King Ludwig. Neuschwanstein Castle was the inspiration for the Disneyland castle
•  Dachau Concentration Camp: We will visit the Concentration Camp and tour Munich

Day by Day Itinerary:
This is a partial list, and subject to change as needed to accomplish everything we can in each area we visit. We will have local guides who will make sure we see the very best in the time we have.

Day 1: May 01: Fly from the US to Amsterdam

Day 2: May 02: Early morning arrival into Amsterdam. We will spend the day touring Amsterdam, exploring the canals and visiting Ann Frank’s House. We will also visit a living village museum, with actual houses and working windmills dating back 100 years. We will then take the two hour drive to Brussels where we will overnight.

Day 3: May 03: Today we will experience the canal city of Bruges. The old city has kept its atmosphere of what it was like hundreds of years ago with its cobblestone streets, ancient canals and old houses. We will also take a tour of Brussels before returning to our hotel.

Day 4: May 04: We will drive through the Belgium countryside into France and down to the Normandy Coast. Today’s tour includes the World War II Normandy Landing Beaches and The American Cemetery. We will overnight in Caen near the Normandy Beaches.

Day 5: May 05:
This will be another highlight day. Today we travel down the coast of France to the majestic island of Mount Saint Michel. This castle which looks like a walled city is located on an island just off of the coast of France. It was built approx. 700 years ago and today it looks and feels the same. We will return this evening to Caen.

Day 6: May 06: This morning we will take our approx. 3 hour drive to Paris. Our stop today will be the Versailles, the opulent palace of the Kings of France. We will tour the inside of the Palace and then head to our hotel in Paris.

Day 7: May 07: Today will be a full day of Paris. In a addition to a tour of Paris, we will visit the Louvre Museum and it’s Mona Lisa, tour Notre Dame Cathedral, visit the Eiffel Tower and have time to explore a little on your own. We overnight again in Paris.

Day 8: May 08: The day will be spent driving through the countryside of France on our way to Germany. We will overnight near Frankfurt, Germany and the Rhine River.

Day 9: May 09: Full Day tour, including a boat ride on the Rhine River and a visit to the famous Heidelberg Castle before returning to your hotel.

Day 10: May 10: This morning we drive to the ancient walled city of Rothenberg. This well preserved medieval walled city dates back into the 13th century. With its walls intact and the buildings inside dating back 100’s of years, this will create one of your best memories. The film “Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang” was filmed here. Later in the afternoon we will continue on to Zurich Switzerland to overnight.

Day 11: May 11: Today is the beauty of the Swiss Alps. Our day will include Bern, Interlaken and over one of the most beautiful alpine passes into Luzern. We will again overnight in Zurich.

Day 12: May 12: This morning we will tour Zurich and Raperswil on our way to the tiny country of Lichtenstein. We will then drive into the beautiful German Alps, where we overnight in Oberammergau. Oberammergau is a beautiful village located in the heart of the German Alps. Oberammergau is also the home of the famous Passion Play that is only performed every 10 years.

Day 13: May 13: Today we will visit Linderhof Palace. This fantastic palace was built by the Mad King Ludwig. After his death, the country took over the castle and turned it into a museum, leaving everything like it was at his death. We will also see Neuschwanstein Castle by Ludwig before returning to our hotel in Oberammergau.

Day 14: May 14: This morning we will travel down from the German Alps to the old city of Munich. Our tour will include a city tour of Munich and the Dachau Concentration Camp. After our full day tour we will overnight in Munich area.

Day 15: May 15: This morning you will fly back to the US and home.
