Every year we fight over whether we should offer a land tour or a cruise. Both have great advantages and both have many disadvantages. We are going to do Australia by land and New Zealand by Sea topped off with a stop at a 5 star beach resort in Fiji! Our Australia Land Tour will include: Sydney and Melbourne w/ optional pre-tour to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef. Our cruise will take us from Sydney to The fjords of New Zealand (Dusky Sound, Doubtful Sound and Milford Sound), it will also include, Dunedin, Christchurch, Wellington, The Volcanic White Island, Tauranga, Rotorua, Auckland and the Bay of Islands. Regular Tour Day by Day Itinerary

Day 1: January 8: Flying
The group will fly to LAX in the late afternoon or early evening. Our flight to Sydney will depart LAX around 10:30pm.

Day 2: January 9: Flying
The group will lose a day as they cross the International Date Line.

Day 3: January 10: Sydney                                                                                                             
We will arrive mid day into Sydney.  We will spend the afternoon at Featherdale Wildlife Park.  Here you will be able to get up close and friendly with Kangaroos, Koala Bears and other Australian wild life.  Late this afternoon we will check into our deluxe hotel in Sydney.

Day 4: January 11: Sydney - Melbourne
This morning we will fly to Melbourne.  We will spend the day visiting both the mountains outside of Melbourne, take a ride on Puffing Billy, an old steam engine train and have a city tour of Melbourne.  Overnight Melbourne.

Day 5: January 12: Melbourne
This morning early we will depart for our full day tour and drive on the most beautiful costal drive in the world – The Great Ocean Road. We will also visit the fantastic 12 Apostle Rock Formations. We will overnight again in Melbourne.

Day 6: January 13: Melbourne – Sydney – Ship
Mid morning we will fly to Sydney.  After arrival into Sydney we will transfer to your cruise ship.  After we will transfer to our ship located in the Sydney Harbor, the rest of the afternoon will be free to enjoy your new home. 

Day 7: January 14: Sydney
The ship does not depart until this evening – you will have a full day to enjoy Sydney on your own or take our optional shore excursion that will include a tour of Sydney, a tour of the Sydney Opera House, and a boat ride through the harbor.

Day 8: 15 January: Fun Day at Sea
We will have our own party along with our own entertainment. Our Party and entertainment will not take away from the fun you can have on the ship.  Nor will it take away from the ships evening show. We will just make sure your experience with Fun For Less Tours will be a 10+.

Day 9: January 16: Fun Day at Sea
We again will have our own party and entertainment.

Day 10: January 17: New Zealand Fjords
Today will be a full day of sailing though the Fjords of New Zealand. It will include Doubtful Sound, Dusky Sound and Milford Sound. These are some of the most beautiful fjords in the world.

Day 11: January 18: Dunedin
This will be one of your highlight days. Our optional shore excursion will include a visit to the only Albatross Colony anywhere in the world that is located in an area that humans can easily visit. We will also stop to visit the seals and drive through the beautiful lush green hills.

Day 12: January 19: Christchurch
Our optional shore excursion will include a tour of Christchurch and a trip back into the alps near Christchurch.

Day 13: January 20: Wellington
Our optional shore excursion will include a tour of Wellington, a working farm and more.

Day 14: January 21: Volcanic White Island
Today we will sail around Volcanic White Island.

Day 15: January 22: Tauranga & Rotorua
Our optional shore excursion will include a tour of Rotorua, a visit to the hot pots, a Mori Village, a Mori show, and more.

Day 16: January 23: Auckland
Our optional shore excursion will include the Mori Museum, a tour of Auckland and the Auckland countryside.

Day 17: January 24: Bay of Islands
Our optional shore excursion will help you discover the beauty of this area.

Day 18: January 25: Fun Day At Sea
Like our other days at sea, we will hold our own party and entertainment.

Day 19: January 26: Fun Day at Sea
Like our other fun days at sea.

Day 20: January 27: Sydney – Fiji
This morning we depart the ship around noon and fly to Fiji. We will go directly to our 5 star luxury hotel. You will have the rest of the day to enjoy and explore your resort.

Day 21: January 28: Fiji 5 star resort
Full day to enjoy and relax at your 5 star luxury resort.

Day 22: January 29: Fiji 5 star resort – fly home
You will have a full day to enjoy your 5 star beach resort. This evening we will transfer to the airport for our 10:30 pm flight from Fiji to LAX. Because you cross the International Date Line, you will be in Los Angles before you left arriving around noon on the same day 29 January. You will then travel home


Great Barrier Reef Pre-Tour Day by Day Itinerary: 

Day 1: January 6: Flying
The group will fly to LAX in the late afternoon or early evening. Our flight to Sydney will depart LAX around 10:30pm LAX time.

Day 2: January 7: Flying
Crossing the International Date Line.

Day 3: January 8: Sydney
We will arrive mid day into Sydney.  We will spend the afternoon at Featherdale Wildlife Park.  Here you will be able to get up close and friendly with Kangaroos, Koala Bears and other Australian wild life.  Lat this afternoon we will check into our deluxe hotel in Sydney.

Day 4: January 9: Sydney – Cairns – Great Barrier Reef
Mid morning we will fly from Sydney to Cairns near the Great Barrier Reef.  We will tour into the mountains and rain forest before going to our deluxe hotel in Cairns.

Day 5: January 10: Great Barrier Reef
Today will be a full day on the Great Barrier Reef.  You will have time to snorkel and ride a glass bottom boat before returning to Cairns and your Deluxe Hotel.

Day 6: January 11: Cairns – Melbourne
The morning we will visit Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park.  You will see the how they live, dance and even learn to throw a boomerang.  This afternoon we will fly form Cairns to Melbourne and start our tour of Melbourne before checking into our hotel. 

****Note:  On Day 7:  January 12:  You will join with the other group for your tour of the Great Panorama Road and from today on, every one will be on the same schedule.
